The Wii\’s mightily impressive dominance in the UK market has been confirmed by Chart Track. After a mere 38 weeks, the Wii has reached over 1 million sales in the UK, which is 11 weeks quicker than it took the PS2 to reach the milestone and 22 weeks faster than the Xbox 360. David Yarnton, the general manager of Nintendo UK commented that the huge demand for the Wii even in the traditionally \’slow\’ period is behind the rapid pace at which the Wii reached 1 million sales.
