Wii GHIII to have offline-only multiplayer

In April, RedOctane president and cofounder Kai Huang revealed in the same breath that Guitar Hero III: Rock the Legends would be coming to the Nintendo Wii in addition to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 2 versions, and that it would have online multiplayer. It would now appear those statements were mutually exclusive. Speaking to UK gaming site Pro-G, Huang bluntly stated, “There is online for the PS3 and Xbox 360. There won’t be online initially for the Wii, but we are working with Nintendo to see how we can get those features in.”

GameStop is undoubtedly aware of the correct spelling of performance.

Jam Sessions rocking an amp

In August, Ubisoft revealed the tracklist for Jam Sessions, a guitar sim for the Nintendo DS. For those concerned that the DS’s speakers couldn’t possibly capture the fidelity necessary to enjoy Bob Dylan’s or Johnny Cash’s classics, GameStop has listed the Jam Sessions Performance Bundle, which includes a guitar amp. The bundle retails for $69.99 and is slated to ship November 1. However, GameStop will be adding an additional $4.99 surcharge “due to the unusual size and weight of this product.” For those not interested in an amp for their DS, Jam Sessions can be had on September 11 for $29.99.
