Sony’s magic 8 ball says game unit losses will double

The recent Sony financial results were not happy reading for their gaming division although things are only expected to get worse as Sony themselves expect losses to double to 100 billion YEN by the end of their financial year in March.

Katamari Damacy director Keita Takahashi was recently why asked he decided to make Noby Noby Boy a PS3 exclusive and he responded by stating that going multiplatform means more effort. But further to this, he chose the PS3 exclusively due to the specification of the machine.


PES 2008 tops UK software sales charts

Despite reports of in-game slowdowns and a lack of innovation, PES 2008 has topped the UK software charts in its first week on sale. The PS2 version sold the most copies, followed by the Xbox 360 version and the PS3 version.

Playstation donates $25k to New Orleans Children’s Hospital

Sony recently arrived at the New Orleans Children\’s Hospital and handed them a $25,000 donation. SCEA\’s corporate communications specialist commented that Playstation wanted to give back to the community and what better way could there be than to come and play games with patients and make a donation.
