Sony to launch new PS2 model in Japan (Reuters)

Reuters - Sony Corp (6758.T) said it plans to launch a lighter version of its PlayStation 2 game console later this month, in a bid to drive sales of the seven-year-old machine heading into the crucial holiday season.

Macworld.com - As promised, CCP Games on Tuesday released a Macintosh version of EVE Online, its Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) set in outer space. A free 14-day trial is available for download with no credit card required; EVE Online costs $14.95 per month to play thereafter (the first month costs $19.95).
