Respected UK paper The Times has described the R4 flashcart for the DS as the ultimate Christmas stocking filler from Hell for Nintendo. In Tokyo, many stores describe sales as very strong but fail to go into detail about what the cartridge does for fear of legal issues. Signs read, that new shipments have arrived, stating \’you know what it does and no questions will be answered\’. While another store sign reads \’Guaranteed for one week only, of course we can\’t explain what the R4 will do\’. Of course The Times couldn\’t resist purchasing one and crammed ten new DS games onto the cartridge and each one worked perfectly and took less than half an hour in total. They asked for comment from Nintendo on the matter who revealed that they are keeping a close eye on such products but they cannot \’smash all of them\’.
