Nintendo has said that first party titles are selling on the Wii because their internal teams teams know the Wii\’s special characteristics best, and they started development quite a bit before the Wii\’s release. They say that the Wii is still at an early stage in its life and the same happened with the DS, but it now has more third party titles. However this won\’t mean much to devs since Nintendo recently announced it had boosted its Japanese Wii development teams while reducing those on the DS.
