U.S. Wii shortage down to weak dollar, demand subsiding in Europe
Written by admin.

Games industry analyst, Michael Pachter, has said the weak dollar is the reason for the Wii shortage in the U.S. Pachter believes that Nintendo have been sending more Wii consoles to Europe where they can make a bigger profit from those countries with stronger currencies. However, Pachter believes that demand is now subsiding to normal levels and that the surplus consoles will be sent to the U.S. Pachter concluded that he believes that it should be easy to pick up a Wii in the U.S. later this year.
