Sony today announced that it was brining the SOCOM franchise to the PS3 with SOCOM: Confrontation. The game is focused exclusively on on-line play and powered by Playstation Network. Key features include: up to 32 player multiplayer, 7 highly detailed maps and community features with increased clan & ladder support. The game will be available on Blu-ray Disc and as a download from PSN. There are also plans for DLC including new weapons, characters and maps.
