Microsoft Game Studios boss Shane Kim was recently asked why Microsoft can\’t use their \”real financial muscle to buy a Square Enix, or to secure exclusive rights to one of the only IPs that actually matters in Japan, its Final Fantasy franchise.\” Kim said that he doesn\’t believe it would lead to long term success and that he doesn\’t know if it would really be enough to overcome people\’s reservations about the Xbox 360 in Japan.
